Humans of Millbury: Doreen

I have 7 1/2 year old twin grand-daughters. They are my everything. I love watching everything they do. I'm excited that they've started riding lessons. They sit beautifully in the english saddle!

I am the character [in my family]. Words that describe me would be tenacious and straight forward. My advice to people is: if you can't change your situation, then change the way you look at it. Happiness comes with accepting all the choices you have made to get you where you are.

I spend most of my time alone. Me, myself and I get along so well! I do miss dressing up as now I live in sweatshirts and my overalls.

I do not take days off. There is always things that need to be done. Five years ago I left 32 years of corporate America. Now I work here at Live Flea or Buy. My co-op booths are filled with treasures I have hunted for as "Fancy Pants." Staging, decorating, repurposing - its my blood. I have to thank my Dzaidzui for loving the hunt.

I love doing pet portraits. I have sold my work. I paint, draw and read when the mood strikes me. Gardening and constantly changing and decorating my home are my passions. My home is warm and welcoming, not cluttered like my "Fancy Pants" booths.
